The Many Cute Faces of Jackson...

Jackson makes so many cute faces everyday. Just thought I'd share a few that had been captured!

The "Thinking Man"...

Crazy faces...

Dazed and Confused...

On the Verge of some ZZZ's...

Tough Guy...

Whoa...

What are you up to now, Mom?...

I'm just chilling...

These dancing lambs on my mobile are amazing!

And Smiles galore...

This picture isn't great (it was taken quickly on the fly), but it's the only one that truely captures a big ol' Jack smile...

It's official...He's a cutie!  :)

Play Time!

Jackson loves his playtime every day.  He is much more active than the first few weeks!  We use the time to jump (he loves to push with his legs), do pull ups (he holds my fingers, and I help him pull himself up from lying, to sitting, to standing), fly around, and especially play with his little gym.  Here are some action shots!

Tummy Time is also a fun pastime...as long as he's in the right mood!

He's still rolling over daily.  Here he is mid-roll...

Mission Accomplished!

1st Fathers Day

Happy 1st Father's Day to Jeremy!
Jack couldn't have asked for a nicer and more loving Daddy.  He got to spend a bit of time with his Daddy on Father's Day before Jeremy had to go into work.

I love this picture of Jack looking up at Jeremy.  He loves his Daddy so much!

Thanks for being such a great Dad, Jeremy!  Both Jack and I are so lucky to have you!

1 Month Old

Our Little Jack is already 1 month old!  It's amazing how quickly the time is going!

We had his one month check up, and here are his stats:
Head size: 38.4 in (53%)
Weight: 10 lbs, 2.6 oz (59%)
and the kicker....
Height: 23.5 in (97%)
I'm not sure where his height comes from, but we are hoping he is quite the basketball player!  :)

Here are some pictures that I took on his birthday...

Jack with his big teddy bear from Grandma and Grandpa.  He'll be bigger than this bear before I know it!

I didn't have time to do my original plan for his 1st birthday, so I just quickly put together a sign to document the picture.

We made a Lemon POPPYseed cake to celebrate Jack's (aka Poppy) birthday.  Sadly, Jack did not get to partake in the treat.

Week 4 -

During week 4, we had a visit from Jack's Sithee and Jidhe (Lebanese from Grandma and Grandpa), aka Jeremy's parents.  I unfortunately didn't get any pictures of them together (I will post them when I
can have Jeremy's mom send the ones she took), but did take a few random photos throughout the week).

Here is Jack during tummy time.  He does really well holding his head up and seems like he will roll over soon!

Sleepy time.  I get to spend a lot of sleepy time with Jack during the late night feedings.  He is so cute when he lays his head on his arm!

There was a tornado warning on one of the days that Jeremy's parents were visiting.  Normally, I would have gone on the porch or deck to watch it, however, time have now changed.  Once I heard the sirens, I went to get a sleeping Jack out of his cradle and we make our way downstairs--baby and diaper bag in hand.  Here we are keeping track of what's happening on the TV--boy am I thankful in times like this that we have a finished basement!

We also made our way to Jeremy's station, where Jack got to meet many of the Channel 3 news crew.  Here is the "Nichols News Team"!

Jack's first Milestone!

Jack has been strong ever since his first day. He has really amazing neck strength, and has held his head up really well since day one and also has good strength in his arms. We were amazed when he actually rolled over at 25 days old! Luckily, I was able to catch it on video! As you can tell, I was pretty excited!
Every day we work on strength, and he continues to roll over from his tummy even more quickly. He also continues to hold his head up for longer stretches of time and enjoys holding onto my finges while we pull him up from his back.

Week 3 -- I think we're alone now

Week 3 meant that Jeremy was back at work!  I think that Jack missed his Daddy during the day, because he suddenly became a bit fussy (something that I have since learned often happens when babies hit 2-weeks old).

We pushed through the fussy days, and in the end had a nice week.
"Aunt" Marisa came down from Green Bay to visit us.  It was so great for me to visit with her and get her input on all things baby, since she is now going on number three (due in early December). Jack really enjoyed his time with her, too, and stopped being fussy just in time for her arrival!  It really meant so much to have her visit us!

On Memorial Day, we just relaxed a bit.  Jack is pondering whether he should sleep or eat...

After planning to go to Target for two days that Jack was fussy, we finally made it there on the third day.  This will be his first of many trips to Target, I'm sure!  We have since been there 2 more times!

Hanging out with Jack on our first day alone together!

Jack's 1st Bath

Jack loves bath time...it could be the nice warm water or the clean smells of the soap...but really it's probably because of the fun Whale Bathtub!

Here is video of his first bath (other than sponge baths given before his umbilical cord fell off)

Week 2 - The calm before the storm

Jack's second week home was even better than the 1st! We were starting to settle into our new life quite well. Jeremy was still off of work, and Jack was finally starting to gain weight after losing almost a pound in the first days.

Grandma and Grandpa came down for a visit...

Jack should be the new face of Oshkosh B'Gosh...hmm, maybe we can use our "In" at the company... :)

Andy came over for a visit one morning, and is one of the few people who have gotten to see "Fussy Jack"

During week 2, Jack even had a photo shoot! Here is a picture of him posing with one of his usual cutie pie faces!

Just in time for the photo shoot, Jack lost his umbilical cord! It seems he is destined to have an "inny"!

We even went out to dinner one night. It was quite a change for us...two weeks earlier, we'd be going to dinner on a Friday night at 8:30pm or later...this particular Friday dinner happened at 4:00pm. Oh how things have changed! And of course, at the restaurant, Jack was a hit!

Jack looks relaxed at the end of week 2--"I can handle this world" he says!

Jack's photo shoot

Here are just a handful of the pictures from Jack's 10-day old Photo shoot. He was a perfect angel and the photographer kept saying how great he was! We agree!!!
